East Nashville was alright, some fun bars. Downtown was terrible.
I don't think I'll ever go back.

you have to at least go to broadway and see it, though.

Oh god, don't go downtown...it's just Nashville tourist trash. But...good things to see are:
Frist Center for Visual Arts
Country Music Hall of Fame (cool building and cool exhibits)
The Ryman (beautiful old theatre with all the best ghosts)
Exit Inn (this will show you that Nashville is much more than fake country music)
12th & Porter - great music
Mercy Lounge - Funky space and good music and art openings
Cheekwood Botanical Garden
Bongo Java in East Nashville (East Nashville is where all the cool kids are)
21st Ave on West Side also has a cool coffee shop Fidos
Bobbies Dairy Dip
Meat and 3 at Monells...don't bother with the downtown tourist strip...it's just bad country cover music. Same with the Grand Ole Opry...just go to the Ryman for a beautiful taste of history.

Word. There's a Coyote Ugly here. Nashville is weird. All of their tourism income inside Downtown seems to be 100% from bars. All of em were packed by 11am.

There's that giant line-dance bar... can't remember what it's called.
But when I was there, there were slews of slushed southern country girls, with their crazy accents... if you dig that kind of thing.

If you're over 85 go visit the opryland mall and ride the boat. Otherwise, not really.

Just got back from Hatch. Anything else worth checking out before I leave?
