thats ironic since AS is open source now....no need to shell out for adobe bloatware.

Have a full time job going where I work (in London) for an experienced flash designer with AS3 experience. Send me CVs with links if interested.

*bump.
Thanks for the responses so far - would love a few more! The work is for People's Music Store. See my profile...
- mrdoob0
So you think that posting on qbn saying that you're looking for AS developers will do the job?
Keep bumping.
- moth0
Actually MrDoob, yes I do, and yes it does, and I'll bump it everyday if it bothers you.
- mrdoob0
good luck then

Do you really need a *Flash* developer? Flash is, and always has been, a buggy rehashing of its talented older sibling Director. It has a very poor development interface and everything about it is a dirty hack. Even if you open-source ActionScript and code it elsewhere it's still part of that ugly Flash mind hive.
Now, have you seen what JavaScript can do in 2009? It's not the little misunderstood pretend "Java" language that it was 10 years ago. Sure, use Flash for your little video bits or whatever . . . but Flash for a full website? Gross. Heard of HTML 5 by any chance? Can't wait for that to be king.
- Sorry, flash isnt going away, you seem to be talking about flash 4 or something.JS dev community always seems tomikotondria3
- ..be playing catch up vs. flash developers. See we've only just got 1 guy coding a 3d engine into canvas..whereasmikotondria3
- we've had pv3d, away etc for a couple or years. dhtml/ajax content refresh and page fades ? Woo.mikotondria3
- I love when the 'real' developers attack AS. It usually comes along with a serving of stereotypes circa 2002.tommyo

I think I mentioned that I have some requirements for some AIR apps. I'm guessing that that is now somewhat a logical extension of a flash developers skill set and would get me further than asking for an AIR dev.
But, some of the work I have IS purely a flash requirement.
- Hell, a JavaScript dev will suffice too if they can build nice air apps.moth
