Get a fully functional, customizable osx style dock in xp in vista with Rocketdock..
Ok, it might verge on being pointless eyecandy, but it makes my computer look better and I'd argue Im slightly more productive.
Either way, it's nice to have something different to look at..
Mine is currently looking like

its ok but totally impractical as sometimes u just need the start bar!

i use it in lieu of the quick launch toolbar. it hides itself just like the osx dock. i've placed mine off the top of my left screen because I use synergy ( http://synergy2.sourceforge.net/… ) for controlling my macbook which is located the the left of my my pc's left screen. good little program, for what it does.

I tried it a few weeks back, found it counter productive and removed it pretty quickly.

don't you need the startmenu for PS/...

Clicking on an icon that's already running doesn't change over to that window as it does in OSX it just starts a new instance of that application. Annoying.
- nu-uh, you can set it to open the running instancemikotondria3

I tried out one of Ubuntu docks, but it never really worked right. The quick launch toolbar, which is already built in to windows, works just fine.
I love os x, but still find windows works in my favor for web design and development. I do all my audio and general web surfing on my mac. But, at work I rock XP(and home web/graphic work). When working with a large number of photos in photoshop, it's so much easier when they are contained in one window. Plus, testing IE is easier on XP. All in all I prefer OS X though.
