I think...
THE looks pretty good
BLACK is close, but the ACK bothers me
The BU in BUOY needs work.
The UOY bothers me.
Ugh.

delete the 'L' and the 'A'. you'll be golden then.

Shrink "THE" way down and move the left or put between BLACK BUOY with some clean embellishment then clean up your kerning. Exactly what are you want us to tell you in regards to fixing your kerning?
- moamoa0
probably you will have problems with that in small sizes.
THE BLACK is a bit to tight

Close the H and E of THE a tiny amount. Close the A and C in Black a little. Close all of Buoy.

Since it’s a logo, why don’t you reduce “THE” and pop it between the “L” and the “A”?
- moamoa0
btw: I think there are better alternatives for Plantagent ;) I hate this K

I love the K. It's probably my favorite part of the font.

Join the L and A?
Hmm... actually I've tried that before and it didn't work.At least line up the stems of the T and B...

You could fairly easily make a TH ligature. Otherwise, you need to open H/E a bit.
I'd also shorten the leg of the L, not too much, but just enough to help the space to the right of it.
BUOY: open up U/O just a little bit.
I second what moamoa said about that K. Straighten out the leg, it looks bad as is.
Also, if you don't mind more general design recommendations, I think this would look better stacked:
THE
BLACK
BUOY

For some reason I feel like this wants to be set in Didot or Bauer Bodoni.

- Just a question though. Why don't you move the little music note thingy on the "N" a bit more to the right so that alignsjuhls
- with the left stem thingy of the "D"? I clearly don't know the properly terms, but do you know what I mean?juhls

HE and AC are tight. But really, kerning is a rather subjective art with some objective principles. Context of use matters a lot here as well. Try printing it out, flipping it upside down and kerning it.

- Better.
Perhaps lose the black volume behind THE?pylon - that is too destructivemonospaced
- Black The Buoy?gramme
- Better.

In addition to what everyone has said above, maybe you need a slightly different approach?
Who's the client? I'm assuming, based on the name / font that it's an irish pub or similar? Maybe there's another way to present this?
- MrOneHundred0
- I know that look a bit crowded in there, but it might be a start.MrOneHundred
- oh, no no, that's not goodmonospaced
- ABORT ABORTgramme
- yes, abortpylon
- Ya gotta break some eggs if you wanna make a logo. it’s just a thought process.MrOneHundred
