It was a bit of a rock n roll disaster to be honest!
3 tracks in and our guitarist freaks out, smashes her guitar on the stage (and my foot), and pegs it out the building
We had to push on through what we could manage of the set sans main guitarist -- a lot of people thought it was part of the act as the song she walked out on was "I Stay You Go", so possibly we weren't a complete fuck up without her, but I feel like we are ticking off all the "worst things you have to deal with in a gig" on some special rawk list.
fucks sake.
that's it, i'm getting a loop pedal so I can play guitar AND korg. any recommendations?

That sounds like a great gig - I really should get myself back into the music scene. I've not seen nearly enough bands since I gave up promoting.
Off to see The Fleet Foxes on Sunday, not sure that's gonna happen there though.

oh dear vespa, doesnt sound like much fun.
why'd your guitarist freak out?Always good to have things that happen during the gig as long as it doesnt f*ck things up too much. It's good that the punters thought that it was all part of the show.
The band I used to be in, we got known for ruckasses and punchups always happening in the crowd lol.
If she's gonna arse about like that and freakout at gigs then shes maybe not someone to have on board. Imagine if that was an important gig where you were playing to impress a big label.
It's a lot less hassle without a band and just doing it yourself. You can only let yourself down, for workign on new stuff yous dont have to arrange when yous are all free, when it comes to money - its all yours etc etc. The only downside is that theres no melting pot of creativeness or people throwing in their own ideas into the mix etc.
Thats why I tend to do a lot of stuff with mates everyso often or try to get their input/comment on the stuff im working on. Cos its easy to get blinkered when working on something and its good to have someone come in and analyse it from a different point of view.
