So, you want to put a div over the flash fullscreen div? (i think it might not be possible...someone correct me if i am wrong.)
What kind of effect you want to achieve with js, you cannot achieve with flash?

It is possible.
Load the flash up with swfObject into a div with wmode=opaque. Set this div to a z-level of 1
Overlay another div with the rest of your content with a z-level of more than 1 (2, 50, 300, whatever) and roberts your fathers brother.Took me a while but helped out a mate who needed to do the same thing with a flash slideshow.

Sure thing stugoo. Now i didn't design or code this I just got the flash thingummy to work. Check out the html & css code for the meat of it, theres nothing in the flash file that you need to change.
