I've freelanced with 14 or so companies. thinking of building a new resume, curious to see any other examples with a lot of companies on the resume

I'd say that listing more than about 5 is probably one too many. Generally, people just scan your resume, or have a computer do it. They want to see that you've got some experience to get an idea of what you're bringing to the table.
When I'm looking at prospectives, I'm more interested in the work they've done, and the resume can help me decipher what hand that they had in the creations shown in their portfolio. It also tells me if they are going to be better in a group environment or as a solo act.

1 page. 1 fucking page. Put a link to your portfolio on it and the most interesting companies you worked for that will fit on 1 page. I hate when people send me multi page resumes.
- my resume is 2 pages. but im not in your industry so maybe 1 page is better since 1 page websites...e-pill
