So I am contemplating purchasing a license for mint (haveamint.org) but I was wondering if anyone here has some experience with it or alternative recommendations. I was also thinking about using Stuffed Tracker but it's almost twice as expensive.
I'm trying to avoid hosting analytics with goooooogle or any other third party, the idea of hosting it on my own server is nicer to me.

I remember Yahoo coming out with their own thing to compete with Google a while back, but I have no idea if it's any good.

google analytics is all you need. absolutely amazing level of reporting and for free.

I use both Google Analytics and Reinvigorate. No idea which one is better, but I kept Reinvigorate because I used it for a longer time and all the stats are still there.

above - seriously, how would they know if the user was male or female?!? if i bought perfume for my other half, or a bra for my cross-dressing weekends i'd be marked down in the 'female' category would i? sounds like some truthiness™ right there.
- based on pic of the day thread, it's all males or everyone is a secret lesbian.jamble

Just use google, that's my advice.
the interface is not clunky at all, and it really doesn't suck one bit :)
- sublocked0
i use mint + google.
- airey0
yep google is excellent. comments about it's interface make me laugh. sure, it's not a 'designer' interface like some but the power of it is amazing and very deep in what it can offer if you spend the time getting your head around it.
if you prefer style to substance then google analytics aint for you i guess. and enjoy your haircut.

LOL - why not use G's analytics?
The software used to cost 5K before they bought it and its pretty damn good.
oh and its free.
