This really confused me. I'm not sure I even understand his information architecture.
- Funny, I really dig this simplicityAnders
- how on earth is this simple? Each page in the site looks drastically different, and if they are related I'm not picking up the thread.gramme
- thread. Then again, I might just be an idiot.gramme
- gramme: That's exactly how I feel about this too.doctor
- yea, don't believe the hype. it's all crap :Pstewdio

I wonder if when we switch to "electric paper" all publications will have a "reveal grid" button. I hope so...
- but like chefs with cookbooks, they will purposely fuck up the "recipe"magnificent_ruin

there's a bit of confusion i think . . . iQuit is just a single project. the "minimal" portfolio that people are commenting on is simply http://stewdio.org/

DId you finish your masters?
What kind of paying collab you looking for? I have personal projects that I want to get going and I can pay you what I can.

Interesting that so you either love it or find it confusing.
The internet I grew up with (!) was complex by its lack of uniformity.
You would have to see the next page with fresh eyes, even within the same website.I think this multi-design approach is what makes the internet great, it embraces wild thought and look (in theory). As portfolio sites go, this is rare. We've almost been brainwashed to think towards usability instead of interestingness or original ways to communicate.
It's why, if I was to choose between the two, I would choose myspace over facebook.

Yes. Synopsis: Received BFA in 2003. Worked in NYC for a few years at O R G / doing my own projects. Left in 2006 to get my MFA. Done. Back in NYC. Economic melt down. Heavy student loans.
What I'd really like to do is secure grants / funding to just continue my own experiments. It's not a totally hopeless cause; In the past I've created publications, patent applications, software, etc. I do a lot of programming. I really enjoy re-humanizing computers. But being so vague with goals doesn't secure much confidence in capital holders. But yea . . . a funded community of artist-engineers sounds good.

Do you want to work on project by project bases. Obviously I am not a capital holder by any means but I would want to other stuff.
But grants are going to be tough. Maybe working at university might help.

Ever since I have com across his work a few years ago by being presented through Google images I have enjoyed it. Well thought out, inventive and truly original ideas. Congrats for the recognition.
