what do you think?
any ideas for something unique? i was thinking of doing a mural of guernica on the wall....don't know if i have the balls for that though

Not massively keen, personally speaking, on your larger options above but its really down to the place and what suits it.
They just look a bit twee to my eye, a bit Costa Del Sol.

I don't mean to knock your original ideas, but those just scream "suburbs, no style."
You're bound to find some really cool stuff out there without looking like you live in a model house.
I think maps look really cool if you can find nice vintage ones. I have a goal of collecting a vintage map of every major city I've been to. My Paris map, which I found at an antique store in Austin TX years ago looks fucking awesome on my wall. It is gigantic.

If you can afford to purchase a condo than you can afford to skip the dorm room posters. I recommend going to a real gallery and purchasing a real painting. You dont have to break the bank, there is a lot of good work out there that costs less than a pair of designer jeans. I know the white walls of a gallery and the snooty gallerinas can be intimidating. Another option would be to go to an open studio and purchase directly from the artist. There is too much good, new, and accessible art available to purchase an overpriced poster!

I used to intern here and have since purchased a few prints. They're limited edition, and most of the names are pretty big contemporaries. Can be expensive, but worth every penny to have quality, imo.

Something like this would look cool above that couch:

kinetic what did you pay for your condo?

what is a good price for canvas printing? is $40 for a 2x2 to much?

First off, congrats on the new condo - looks like a great spot.
Secondly, given that you have such a nice new place, I think it would be a shame to fill it with some generic print that holds no deeper meaning or value to you. For example, there are lots of great talented people within this community, that have stuff you could consider. Plenty of different styles and disciplines.
Just my 2¢.

You should go to Christies and buy the Madonna nude portrait.
