perhaps you should be proud ?, your cat has grown up and went out into the world, maybe even to study graph' design or sumint, you did a hell of a job raising her up yo!

my experience with kittens is that they don't wander far but find a safe place and just hide out.

I have no 'tips' or advice, sorry... I know cats are amazing at finding their way back, but I certainly understand how you feel.
Hope it all works out.* fingers crossed

i wouldn't worry too much, some lucky person might have a new kitty by now. that is seriously how i found my kitty, meowing in my front lawn, lost, hungry.
- yeah even if he find a new place to live, as long as he is okay... i don't mindmimeartist_limited

One of my beloved cats, INKY (6 years old) has been gone for 1 week as of today, so I feel your pain. :-( I once had a cat who left for 5 weeks and then returned, so there is hope, I suppose.
- Oh no... hope yours finds his way back toomimeartist_limited

Shouldn't you let the mother in so she could count the kittens and be aware that one is missing? how is she gonna know she's supposed to track down one?
On the other hand, good news is at least the kitten has found food, they would be back at dinner time if the little fellow needed food.

Cheers... the annoying thing is that after a few hours he was still in the garden, and when i cornered him he was behind a particularly thorny bush so could reach him... when I tried to he ran past and managed to get my hands on him, but didn't want to hurt him so he slipped through my fingers... the last I saw of him :(
His mum keeps disappearing and coming back all the time so not sure what she is up to?
Think I will do a leaflet in the morning and post it around to get everyone to check their sheds etc. He is the sort of kitten who will sleep for hours in one place.
- yes, a leaflet. That and checking the local shelter is the best you can do.GetRefresh

Any sign of INKY? no sign of PICCOLO :(
Although the mum is now acting like she is trying to get the remaining two kittens to go with her somewhere, and the vet reckoned the same thing... that she is trying to get them all in one place.
My little bit of hope anyway!
- no sign of INKY as of yet... thanks for caring.GetRefresh

It's really cold tonight, hope can survive out there.

Went around there yesterday... couldn't see anything... the building has an upstairs, but don't hold much hope... posted around 100 leaflets and put up signs in places I hope people see on their way home etc. Just hope that perhaps someone is looking after him, just like we did.
Oh well, onwards and upwards (sideways) I guess :(

yeah i thought that, the lady that helps us, said that cats / kittens aren't affecting by the cold too much like us, which was my initial worry.
- I thought it was the opposite, cats aren't affected by hot weather, but hate the cold... aren't cats desert animals?SoulFly
- they are but i think that is more to do with how they store water etc... deserts are really really cold at nightmimeartist_limited

Have you gotten the word out in your neighborhood?
- mimeartist_limited0
asked a few people... was giving it a bit of time first... as didn't want the whole street turned upside down, may force him further away.
