Anybody steer me in the direction of a free pdf editor that I can highlight some text and delete it?.... then save the PDF. I have tried a couple but they only let me add a note to the pdf. I took it into photoshop and drew a big ass box over the text I wanted removed then automated a save to PDF presentation but it went form 236k to 12.4 meg.
So any help is greatly appreciated. I will be trying more applicaitons in the meantime cheers.

can you do it with illustrator? the txt may have to be reformatted, but you can resave it out as a pdf then replace the page with acrobat
- Illy works. Make sure U do a "Save As" to protect the original from formatting changes.ItTango

make sure you save it from PS as a copy and without the layers, also make sure that when you are in the PDF settings to adjust it so the file is small.
It sounds like you are saving the PDF with PSD Editing capabilities.
If you are in a Mac you can make the edits with Preview and "Save As" PDF.

PS, ILL, Preview... all those enable you to make the changes if you know how to use the soft properly. No need to use 3rd party.

If you don't have Acrobat Pro, you won't be able to replace a page. However, what you can do is use Indesign to build a new PDF. Place each page of the original PDF on it's own page in Indesign, then place the new AI changed page as well. Then export to PDF and done.
