So this in normal???
- janne760
it's sad. just sad.
the international leaders should for once NOT choose side and be more forceful in blaming both sides and doing anything with all means to end violence. period.

This problem will never be solved. Best solution is just to relocate everyone and raze the entire area to the ground.
- relocating israel in the middle of that shitty mess was what started it remember =)erikjonsson
- Israel could relocate to HELL this time - deserving of itbliznutty
- Blitznutty – how about you give texas and california back to mexico, get out of iraq and resurrect millions of native americans before you send others to helllaurus

Can't we all just get along?
- tank020
Why is it that Israel can get away with everything.
I'm saying it again, what they have done there the last 50 year
equals to what the nazis did.- +1keiTai
- no, the nazis rounded people up and put them in death campsLlyod
- what do you think gaza is, its a big prison where people die slowly.tank02
- agreen8w
- gaza is one of the most densely populated areas in the world, surrounded by Israeli military.janne76
- aka one big camp.janne76
- not that big:
http://arrastao.org/…Corvo2 - you're a fucking retard. they're responding to over 6000 missiles being launched into their country.dconstrukt
- You do not know much history, do you? your own country killed millions in Africa – with no provocation, for resources alone. This is a case where 500 people die, 400 of whom re armed after 5 years of shooting rockets daily on civilian towns. If Israel wanted genocide, all they need to do is let one F15 loose for half an hour – that would kill 35,000 people. BTW, the US kills more civilians in one week in Iraq then all civilians and warriors that died in GAZA. uck, more people die in Darfour each week. But...laurus
- Here's what they do in your home town:

Well it all comes down the support of the U.S. But if Israel was stripped of all their weapons, would there be peace? Hell no, the situation would just be reversed.
- Llyod0
I hate both sides but if hamas feels the need to keep launching missles into israel then they have the right to bomb them. hamas is hiding behind human shields.

i think we should all ignore the gaza ramtamtam
- ???? wtftank02
- take gaza away from both.digdre
- wish i could, like i said it ain't my war but still.....keiTai
- i think you have no idea what this conflict is about. The gaza is the only thing the palestinians still have, Israel took their land bit by bit.tank02
- i know what it is about, both want gaza.digdre
- no, gaza rightfully belongs the palestinian terrorities, but since the 6 day war, Israel has been illegally taking more & more of it away....tank02

Some guy in the West Bank was commenting that people in Israel "cannot fix their cars on Sabbath but they can kill people."

It's scary stuff...
And almost 35, and I don't remember any point in my life where the situation there wasn't making devastating news.
I lived in Israel for 6 months when I was 14, and remember military people in the streets around the clock carrying machine guns.
Unfortunately, it's difficult for me to ever envision a peaceful solution.
I was in Norther Ireland last year. I talked to the leaders of an organization who develops initiatives and events that includes children from 'both sides'. They told me about the continuing difficulties of things there, and how elementary kids still hates 'the other side' without actually knowing why. They just do, because that's what their parent have taught them.
I wonder if the situation is somewhat similar in this way in Gaza, but with even more combustible cultures involved.- the part about the kids strangely reminds me of 1984omgitsacamera

- that is fucked up!3point14159
- on the internets that would be considered pwned!sofakingbanned
- You guys do realize that the reason 1948 is not shown here, is because they were getting invaded on all sides, hence the big border change.NONEIS
- big border change.NONEIS
- This map (1946) is a blatant manipulative lie. Plus it neglects to mention 700000 jews driven away from arab countries after living there for 3000 years (For example there were Jews in Iraq before there were Arabs there). Also, it neglects to mention the areas that were occupied by Arabs in 1948 like Gush Etzion or The Jewish quarter. There was no state of Palestine between 1949–1967 as these territories were under Jordanian and Egyptian rule. Check any Encyclopedia. Just because somebody drew a map, doesn't make is true.
laurus - That pretty much sums it up about what the problem is.PaulYih
- digdre0
yea well, what do we do about it?
let them fight their own war, before we know they are invading us and bombing fucking belgium!!
so let's stay out of them business.
that's my opinion about it.- well... that won't happen.janne76
- what the fuck are you talking about?
tank02 - you sound like the people on the HLN.BE forumtank02
- hyehyehey, don't get offended bart, it's just my opinion.digdre
- I'm not offended at all.tank02
- digdre - sit still - we need to check you for a pulsebliznutty
- Unfortunately, we made it our business when we helped establish Israel after WWII and have been supporting them ever since.PaulYih

^^^ I believe that the map above says it all. No wonder Palestine, and muslims in general hate Israel, the UK and the USA. They essentially stripped all of their land from them in the last 60 years.
- only one problem, it is historically incorrect. check any encyclopedia. also ask what happened to jews who were living in Iraq, Syria, Iran, Egypt, Algeria, Libya, Morocco, etc.laurus
- janne760
also palestinians deserve more space to live.
also, we should boycott israeli products if possible.
we need to make our point somehow..
- 3point141590
To be very honest,... I feel for both sides, and I am pissed off at both sides!
- janne760
i also vote for the abolishment of the word antisemitism. as it tends to make jews more special than other people. it's bad to offend anyone based on race or religion. not just jews.
they only abuse their tragic history for their political advantage nowadays. it is a real shame.
also for the good people who died back then.jews must learn to become more tolerant themselves instead of pointing to anyone else all the time.
the orthodox jews are just as repulsive as the fundamentalist muslims.
- Are the jews the chosen ones right?3point14159
- i live in the jewish area of antwerp. i'm sorry but they are all very arrogant & rude.tank02
- I like how the jews have labeled themselves "semites". arabs are semites as wellLlyod

- "the orthodox jews are just as repulsive as the fundamentalist muslims. " - Seriously? you just called al orthodox jews & all fundamental muslims repulsive? That is some of the most hate-filled commentry i have ever read here on qbn. just lost all respect i have ever had for janne. no wonder you'd want to "abolish" the word antisemitism. unreal & sad.THA
- Political advantage? now that's funny. Go to any European country. Antisemitism IS special and is still exists.laurus
- what makes the antisemitism special is that you still need guards in front of synagogues, worldwide, but not churches or masques. http://www.ynetnews.…laurus

I'm more pissed off at the area's arab nations. they don't support the palestinians with cash that isn't used for weapons.
