Does anyone sell images or vectors on there?? Enough to make the effort worthwhile?
- Horp0
The usual conclusion to this topic is no. Its a lot of effort for very little reward.

I, personally, would only move forward with it if you have a decent arsenal of vectors already. I wouldn't put a lot of effort forth to create stuff specifically for istock - agree w/ horp that you'll find very little reward.
Freelance instead.

cheers, that's that decided then

I've only put up liek 4 or 5 illustrator drawings cuz i don't have time to prepare them... It's been about a year and i've made just over $50, basically a few bucks a month or whatever..
The more you get up, the more that will increase. As long as they're good, and there isn't a lot of competition for that particular image metaphor or whatever i guess.

Keep in mind, it's work that has to be done once that could have potential of ongoing income. I agree mostly with Kello - if you've got stuff ready to go, get it up.. you cant really lose other than the time it takes to get it up.

cheers guys. I have about 10 years worth of stuff for clients that i'm sure I can rehash over time and get up on there.
I wouldn't create work from scratch...
Does anyone know of anyone that does well with selling stock art??

Andy Warhol's estate does pretty well. Keith Haring's too.

I have made over $1000 and only have about 15 images on there so not bad. Haven't ever withdrawn any money though as I always end up spending it again on others images
