This is a little premature as it isn't quite finished, but I wanted to get some thoughts. Dummy copy is used in certain areas, and the archive page on the blog hasn't been built out yet. Peep it, please...

my initial reaction is that you have too much on screen at all times... or perhaps find a way to get most of the copy / links to one space of the site...
... so as to let your work stand out... cuz it doesn't... they're really small screen shots... :(... you have more room to work with - show the work more...
... oh... and ditch the browser border (i don't like browser windows - they too take up precious window space that could be better used showcasing your work

positive notes: nice fonts... clean presentation colors used... great start... just need to let the work stand out a bit more amongst the links/text.

I don´t get the switch to the "blog"-layout, when hitting "about". shouldn´t "about" be part of the portfolio? also an item "archives" appears, when in the blog-layout, which brings you back to the "work"-layout, kinda confusing. maybe distinguish the 2 sites from another, or merge them into 1 consisting one? if you go for 2 sites, you could strip the "work"-site of the news/blog-posts (at the bottom), would be cleaner then, less crowded.
then, some of the screengrabs are not accurate, they move around 1/4px from screen to screen. it´s a tiny thing, but it stands out when you flip through the screens.
I like the clean look of the site, also the colours and the styles.
- Word. Actually, the archives page hasn't been built yet; that's why it returns the work page. I dig what you're saying about the "about" page though.bort

My thoughts...
Too much scrolling for basically nothing.
Site itself does not blend too well with the logo. Everything is so straight with clean lines and white and blue... and the logo is orange with black and looked very compressed. Logo image could be exported a little better. It's too blurry or something.
- What size resolution are you on? Anything over 1024x768 requires no scrolling.bort
- At least to see main content and nav.bort
- content fits just fine. no problem there. it's just that there's a lot of white space below the content in the gray footer.VectorMasked
- no biggie. It's just that this kind of things can make someone feel like there's tons more stuff below.VectorMasked
- I dig.bort

^ disagree. I think the navigation is straight forward and easy to use. I dont like portfolio sites too overly cumbersome with levels and levels of navigation. I like that I can see the work all right up front.

Some nice design elements.
A little to busy I did not know where to begin, simplify.

I notice some jogging (movement) on some of your design examples, but I only see it when I click through them fast. The one in particular is Hodgson Design Associates work. But I would check them all just to be safe!

i don't like the color scheme.

I could use a little more color contrast. Maybe use a color photo in stead of the black & white one. You could find something more catchy to inspire your users to check out your work in depth. Oh, and make the images clickable! :)
You should also note that the grey box in the bottom is below the screen fold, even on my 1440 x 900 resolution. In the more common 1024 res it doesn't look like there would be anything under the grey text columns, so you can't expect the users to scroll down and encounter the grey box.
Nice style and execution though. Keep up the good work!

I think your portfolio nav is a little to low and light in color, I didnt know how to view your work right away

Thanks for the input guys.
