I haven't used Quark since like 4.0, but just completed a project in v8.0 per client requirements. Back then I didn't ever have to export PDFs for printing. Our printer now wants it in PDF with their Distiller settings. They provide easy support for InDesign and installing a .joboptions file into Acrobat/Distiller and ofcourse InDesign just lets you select that option on exporting.
Is there a way in Quark to do this as well? I can't find it, nor can I find help for this. I did an export to a postscript file through Quark then ran that throgh Distiller with the Job Option, but the printer didn't think it was correctly done.
Any ideas?

you just have to create a PDF printer and copy the printers' prefs into the distiller prefs directory. then print to PDF using the new pref option.
it's the exact same method us you should have used with quark version 3-whatever.
what OS are you on?
