I did my first animation job in After Effects that was actually published. Music was composed by a collegue, a "kung-fu" coder that likes to play guitar...

really nice, what kind of tools did you use??

Theres one thing that annoys me about computer rendered animations and that's the awkward speed that they move.
It's one big long slow "take".We do a lot of work for architechts and developers so commission a lot of 3D render work to go with the projects. And when the 3D guy puts together videos they are usually awkward paced flythroughs.
And you just feel like "why is the camera spending so long panning around this room before awkwardly moving to another?!"
This isnt a natural movement of how you'd look round a new home.
It should be much more excitingly paced with short cuts from room to room with eyes focussing on detail elements.Nice lil anim though esp for a first shot at 3D video

Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator. I did a photo shooting of the paper tree and the starts and balls for the christmas decoration, I used a nasa picture for the sky and moon I just rondom picked one from google. I also shoot the coton for the valey snow, the falling snow is a particualr filter in AE. I layered everything in photoshop then I animated all in AE using 3D Layers and camera. I used illustrator to do the christmas lights!

Wait a minute .....
This is for a paying corporate client and you just "used a nasa picture of the sky" and picked a random moon from google images.
Better hope the client doesnt learn of this!!!
or the owners of the images you stole dude!- Its just a christmas "card" dude, and th client did give money to aid organisations, so not the devil here!!Elfangio

I did not used any images from Getty...

I have to agree with 23kon here. Its especially dumb to admit that you stole imagery for a commercial piece of work too. So if somebody stole your animation and said "oh it's okay, some of the profits went to charity" still doesn't make it right.
Despite what I think about the above issue I do think its a nice piece of work.

Its a nice animation, well done, so good on ye. However, Im in agreement with 23kon. I'd say you could get similar images for very little on the likes of istock and you'd be in the clear.
I know of someon who just used an image from a google search on a hoarding for a building (don't even start me on that) but it was found out and the chap was sued, plus the person suing went through the client (as the studios name wasn't on it) so they lost the client too. If the client had wanted to be pricks about it they could also have sued the studio but they chose not to.
Used 'borrowed' images at your own peril.

Let's be honest here I did not stole nothing, I used a rondom because they're all alike, I did not used my own because in the 15 days i had to produce this I did not had a clear sky and full moon to do it myself, either way anybody could still clame as it was his pmoon picture because they are all alike. And yes, I will put a clean version of my footage in the net and next year everybody can use it and put their logo there no problem...the only thing I am "saling" here is the christmas spirit...
- Dude, I like the piece, but just telling you what happened to give you a heads up. Not trying to be a cunt here.ian

I just think you're lucky that the image in question is not such a prominent feature and could easily be seen as just an illustration. I think you should read up on copyright issues in the design industry to avoid ending up in court in the future.
I don't mean to sound too harsh but it's for your own good.

Anyway, I will replace the images, I dont want to be conected with a graphic pirate or something....actually I am illustrating a moon and a new sky as we "speak"
