They say Warhol used to do much the same thing. He'd throw stuff--like mail, and party invitations, and magazines, and other stuff--into boxes. When the boxes got filled, he'd have them taped shut, and moved to a warehouse.

Warhol's stuff was probably a lot more interesting, because at least he had friends and socialized. In fact, Warhol's social life if probably more interesting than any/all of Kubrick's movies.

Looks like Kubrick had a thing for boxes and was a complete Nutter. There some really funny parts in the doc about Kubrick. The part when one of his employees had to explain to Kubrick about going on Holiday with is family and Kubrick asking why he did this, and what was it for. WTF, hahahah
