  I would like to build a visual sitemap that is
  both easy to update and good-looking like an image in itself.

  It's funny that isn't _really_ anything interesting to do with a sitemap, without using flash. It wouldn't be that hard to do something that updates automatically and at the same time is visually pleasing to look at, would it?
