Dang. She's great for the job, I think, although I wonder what it'll do to her long-term prospects/aspirations in the political arena.
I wonder how much lip-biting Bill had to do clear the way. heh

No story at the end of that link – unless I’m missing something.
I guess she has proved that, among other things, she is a hard worker. The SoS job requires plenty of that. I think she is better suited to this job than that of VP.

I think it's a good choice, and someplace where she can make a difference

Lyndon B Johnson, 36th US President, once said about the appointment of FBI director J Edgar Hoover: "It’s probably better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside the tent pissing in."
That's one of my favourite quotes.

But people, please try to keep the political groupie-fan-talk to a minimum. She's just an ambassador, nothing more...

You know, Obama is going to screw himself in the longrun. First of all, Bill, Hillary and Even McCain dont really respect Obama. They look at him as the "help" even though he's the president elect. Do I think Hillary would do a good job in the position? YES. But im speaking just about that task at hand. The problem is, well she's Hillary Clinton, the same woman who said Barack wasnt ready to be president. Shes been in politcs way longer than him and deep down inside I think shes always going to have a sour taste in her mouth because she never thought in a million years some young black (not ready to be president) man would beat her while she was at her peak in her political career. I think if someone like Biden had beat her, the taste wouldnt be so sour but for someone like Barack to come in and take it from her, I know she takes it as a slap in the face. Shes stubborn too. You know shes always going to feel she would do a better job as president. Now seriously, if you were a creative director and you were hiring an art director, if you heard them say to someone else "I could do a much better job as a CD than him" would you still hire that person?? You know when her and Bill go home at night they talk about Barack like a dog. I think they really have disdain for him but they have no choice but to play along. If she had been elected do you think she would have thought about offerring him ANY cabinate position? LOL. Yeah right.
If you really think about it, in Hillary's mind this is twice now she has been passed over by someone who she probably feels shes better than. This year it was by Barack, and a few years ago it was Monica Lewinski. Honestly though, I dont blame Bill... yes I think he could have done better than Lewinski, but mores I dont blame him for not wanting to do his own wife.
