Got myself a Korg Nano Pad on saturday.
£40 for 36 programmable pads.
Dont think that can be grumbled at!Nice feature about them is that you can assign whole chords to each pad so you can trigger chords with one touch :)
Did have a bit of bother setting it up though. The Korg UK site has 1.1.1 drivers to download - but it seemed to have corrupt .dll files.
The Korg US site has newer 1.2 drivers, so go there to download.

Nice, im gonna get one of each eventually i think... I like the idea of the keys one for limited space inspirational moments..

i liked the idea of those when they came out. i'm guessing you got the little keyboard one? how's the build quality?

No, its the sample-pad one i got.
(on the right below the ones with knobs n sliders). The one with knobs and sliders is pretty sweet too, looks n feels decent enough. Again, 4 banks of what-you-see.
The keyboard one is hardly like "playing an ACTUAL musical keyboard" but it certainly IS better than playing letter-keys on your laptops keyboard as a music keyboard!
This one also feels a little more fragile than the others.
I doubt you'd use the keyboard one in a studio, but it would be good for composing al-fresco or on the train etc.Build quality of the pads one is great, cant really flaw it, the pads are pressure sensitive. No complaints really.
Definitely worth the money anyway, and if it did f*ckup then im not going to cry at having to buy a new one.Think you can chain a load of them together too - so room for expansion if you need it.

yeah they look more like a neat stage tool...maybe for a performance if your space is limited and don't want to lug around a padkontrol or trigger finger.
i'll have to roll by guitar center and check them out.
- I ask all my friends to boycott Guitar Center. Because Guitar Center is a bunch of cunts.boobs
