Charging Video Renfer Time

  For those who work with video, what is the standard procedure for charging out CPU time used to render or convert video?

  I don't usually touch video, but ended up spending 27 hours of CPU time converting a bunch of videos. Is it more common to charge based on usage time or on file sizes etc?

  Not sure how much of a standard there is, usually depends on the facility or the indivdual and there hardware capabilities.

  For my own purposes, I've usually done 20% (depends) or so of my hourly rate for CPU time. Big facilities may base it on actual video time.
