Vary expensive. I've never been but spent some time in Denmark and got to know several people from Iceland while there.
A good friend went for new years a few years back, fireworks and partying everywhere. Looked amazing. The funniest part was: they had all been partying all day until about 9pm when some famous tv show came on, where single one of them went back home to watch this Icelandic tv show, then came back out to party the rest of the night.
Cold dark winters.

i refuse to acknowledge any place that spells it's name like that. i don't care what bands come from there.

returned from there today .. just as the snow came drifting down. i was impressed more with areas outside of reykjavik. it has an incredibly surreal and varied landscape and i found the people in their smaller towns very interesting to talk to. reykjavik may have put me off because i actually saw a grown man eat his bogies at a cafe off snorrabraut. absolutely disgusting!!

Have flown in, but haven't stayed. It reminds me of an isolated Oslo.
