Adobe Air vs .exe

I need to create an application to run off a memory stick and/or dvd is there any advantage in doing this with Adobe Air rather than an exe file as I might normally have approached it?
I know that users will need to Air framework - so that's a pretty big negative, but what reason is there to use Air over an .exe.
Also, if I can package the framework with the application which Adobe seems to indicate I may be able to, is there a way in which it will easily install?

Adobe AIR
Pros:
Crossplatform
Quick application turnaround
All OS specific shit is taken care of by the AIR VM
Customizable WM controlsCons:
Limited OS interoperability (better than projector though)
Needs AIR runtime (Check out the likely user permissions of your end user)Projector EXE
Pros:
No knowledge of AIR needed, just like doing a flash site
No AIR runtime neededCons:
You'll end up using fuck loads of CLI apps & fscommand to do any OS tasks
Windows Only

You must sign a distribution agreement with adobe if you want to include the air installer with one of the above programs. http://www.adobe.com/products/ai…
Also, remember that an air file is essentially an archive (zip/tar) that can be extracted by anyone.

flash is a pretty good cross platform standard for the net... you'll reach everyone and eliminate a whole bunch of negative user feedback related to this issue... i didn't mind installing Air but exe's set alarm bells ringing
