"This is the culmination of 16 years' worth of hard work and I would like to hope that this is inspirational for other families and other kids," he said
"When we started out we had no money, we were nowhere, we were nothing.
"We never dreamt of getting to Formula One but we are now here, top of the world.
"The reality is it can be done. Hard work, dedication, respect to family, respect to all people. Fantastic."

Glock, consipracy theories? I thought that was a great race. I saw a bunch of Grand Prix races when in Monte Carlo.

Glad to see the best man win for a change. And to all the conspiracy theorists: If Glock wanted to gift Hamilton the World Championship don't you think he would have just pitted for wet tyres and dropped behind him that way?
- exactly. wouldn't have made a difference. lewis would be fifth anyway, only a few laps earlier..janne76

Kezza, I think that Honda is worth to watch, they have Ross Brawn since last winter, and he is the father of Schumacher' success. Few seasons past Honda was second force in F1 (when David Richards was CEO). We have new aerodynamics and KERS coming in 2009.

I went to 2 GP's this year, both brilliant. I've always loved F1, but as good as Shummi was, he did make it all a bit pedestrian as a sport. The last 4 seasons have been getting better and better.
I'm english so I'm always going to back hamilton, but next year should be great. If McLaren get someone to replace Kov. then any of like 6 people could do it next year, especially with all the amendements coming in, like full slicks etc.
It's definately getting better as a sport and the differences between the top 5-6 teams is beginning to close.
As much as I dislike him and his gerbil face, I think Alonso is the man to watch. Best driver with Hamilton.

my guess is hamilton

Alonso stays in Renault

Wow what a wicked race. Fell asleep somewhere in the middle, but the last lap was the most thrilling of the season! 2009? I say Alonso. :)

"Alongside his expected announcement as a BBC pundit, Coulthard will maintain his links with Red Bull as an advisor - although he has yet to firm up exactly what he will be doing for the team.
"After the season we'll define exactly what that role encapsulates and what authorities or lack of I might have," he said. "Obviously as a driver you have quite an influence over the team and a direct line with everyone.
"I won't be the race driver next year, but I'll have an opinion and a point of view on things and I know a lot of people in the team. I have a desire to still test the cars because I still get a buzz out of the technology and the development of all that.
"I am going to use that as an opportunity to see whether it's of interest to me in the long term. My heart's in racing, and whether that's myself out there or being part of a racing team, I can still get a buzz out of that. Obviously you don't get the sweat and maybe the tears, but all that will unfold as the time passes."

he is staying on at red bull as a technical advisor or something like that, but he is done driving.

The best thing for me is that since (when? really), the championship got decided in the very last seconds of the season.
instead of 3 races prior to the end..

Coulthard's quitting? Didn't know that..
