How much would you price a job that consists of a corporate identity (letterhead, business card, envelope), promotional book (6 spreads), advertising campaign - 3 posters, 3 billboards, 1 magazine ad and a website?

carefully.

How much are they spending on the media buy?

What's your hrly rate?
- caperobin0
R500 per hour (not sure how that equates overseas)
- WeLoveNoise0
just have an hourly rate your happy with and estimate how many hours it will take you.
- Add 10% to your estimated price for overages. If you don't need it, coming in under budget makes clients happy.ETM

Cool, thanks WeLoveNoise. Was just wondering what the standard in industry is though?
- jevad0
Whatever rate you come up with add a minimum of 10% for all the client bullshit you will have to go put up with:
Client: “We love it like this, we were wondering if we could change the font and the color, and can we move a few things around?”
Designer: "Uhhm...."
Client: “Please also put a landlord hat on the landlord.”

- I really want a hat like that.CyBrain

As a freelancer I would charge 20k easily.

It would serve you well to price each bit of the job rather than plucking a number out of the air. Less room for client to try to fuck about with your price.

How the fuck can you expect an answer to this question?
basically you give zero information and ask for how to cost for items spanning at least three industries. I'd say you were out of your depth and entering a world of pain.

- hallelujah0
it's ludicrous to pretend to know how many hours this would take--
- hallelujah0
how do you know how many days it will take? this depends largely on the client's responses to what you show htem
