But for sIFR, I will stay with px as an unit.

I had to try and spec out an already completed design in em spacing/sizing, kinda did my head in trying to figure it out, ended up using some online conversion tool, don't think things really worked out...
but you know what they say, never look back...
- They say that?doctor

- well, surely someone other than I, has uttered those words before..neue75_bold

Ems or percentages for font sizes and always ems for line height. It the easiest way to go.

bump for usefulness

ok its 62.5% - google said so
- blackspade0
67.5% 62.5 or 76 anyone ?
- brains0
font-size:62.5% is easier because it translates to the em's being a relative size to the pixel equivalent.. 1.4 = 14 ect. It's just alot easier to keep track of.
- blackspade0
I thought it was { font-size: 76%;} in the CSS from the get go ???
- why would you throw that curve ball?Point5

I charge extra for em sizing.

em is better for resizing, and easier to change all font sizes at once.
for instance, in the body the size is defined 67.5%, the rest 1em, which is the size defined in the body, 1.2em is the size in the body times 1.2 and so on.
if you then change 67.5% to 100%, the rest will change accordingly.

always em. and what stugoo said. works great.
- 5timuli0
I use ens. Usually two of them.

em's are scaleable use them for font sizes.
set on body { font-size:62.5%;}
then
your font sizes wil then be 10% of the pixel size.
so 1.4 em = 14px
2.6em = 26pxdo it and be beter at web design.
