  One thing immediately noticeable about mac vs pc is with the speed that macs launch. I have a new mbp and a new hp/vista that's fairly fast for a 700 dollar machine. The mbp starts up within less than a minute while the vista box takes 2-3 minutes. Anybody know why this is? loading drivers or something?

  • type msconfig into the run command and turn off apps you don't need from starting up on launch. Also turn off the windows loading screen,– Jnr_Madison1/6

    under the BOOT.ini tab on msconfig click the NOGUIBOOT to stop the windows loading screen on startup.– Jnr_Madison4/6
