Most of the ones I have seen for wedding and lifestyle photographers just seem like a way to kiss the clients ass, and don't give much info about the photographer or anything else.
I think most designers do it better and provide info about a variety of topics.
Any thoughts? I'm wondering if I need to do the blog thing ( as a wedding photographer)

My wife has one to complement her letterpress + photography biz, but its more of a way to express herself then to kiss client tush. Gives her an outlet to write and connect with other vendors, printers & such..

they should be used for marketing and networking. if you don't plan to use it this way, don't blog.

any examples of people who do it well? For marketing and networking?
Nicnichols: I am thinking about getting my BC letterpressed. Does your wife have a website?

..I started mine as more-or-less an extension of my site, so I could write a bit here and there about what I was up to, but it has become its own little monster, and now companies are sending me cameras to review, we're having contests.. and I have gotten a boat load of people going to my site through it.. (so now I really need to re-do my portfolio site..)
