I LOVE my autocord... note that you probably will have to clean the mirror. They haven't been made since the 50's, so get one in good condition, and slowly run through the shutter speeds to loosen up the innards before you shoot film. Also assume the shutter may be 1/2 stop slow at first. The focussing knob on some of them can be easily bent, so try to get one you can return, or be willing to lose $75 if you get it cheap.... good luck, I love mine... it's NOT a blad, but it's magically odd in the way it handles blown-out highlights...

GAS BUMP!!
Does anyone have experience with the Mamiya 7 or Mamiya 7II?
Where does one purchase these? Ebay?
Also is there a reason why the lenses are no faster than f/4.0? I assume its because of the size of the massive sensor, you don't need that wide of an aperture?
I am just so in love with the light and colors of this setup.

- Mamiya 7 is incredible. It's like operating a Leica/rangefinder, but MF! Personally I prefer the Mamiya 6 - its lenses are a beautiful thing.inteliboy
- ps - I'm selling a Mamiya 6 lens if anyone here is interested.inteliboy
- I shoot with M7 - 65mm lens, the larger negative etc helps shooting at slower shutter speed. Love the camera and lens quality. Really should be using it moreHuebert
- I wouldn't recommend eBay right now for cameras. I've consistently found better deals in local classifieds and B&H, Adorama, etc.nb

- how much did you pay for body and lenses?HijoDMaite
- $500 CAD (about $400 USD) The thing appears to be in perfect condition. Went out today but didn't see anything worth shooting. I'll try again tomorrow.nb
- so $400 for body and lenses? That sounds doable!HijoDMaite
