This is a work I'm doing for a friend of mine.
I'm not a web designer and above all not that skilled with Flash and code (AS 2-3).
I know JavaScript and this could be a good point from where to start in order not to loose to much time (I don't want to spend time to learn Flash because I'll not use it again after this project).
Animations within this site are really basic, so it would be nice to try something new, while working on easy project.
Oh, I forgot, I ain't got Flash... this could turn as the best reason!
Anyway, I found mooTools really interesting, and all your examples very useful.
Hope this could be a good point for keeping the discussion alive!
Thanks again.

I was trying to figure out if that was the old Engage. The look and feel is different, but it's close enough that it looks like they might have redesigned under new management or something.

If, I was still at Engage ( www.engagestudio.com ), I'd be pretty pissed with a new company set up called engageinteractive in 2007

Best of luck w/ that.
Please tell me: why?
Just use Flash for fuck's sake. More people have Flash 6 and 7 installed than have javascript enabled. Read the stats. If a client of yours is telling you "we can't use Flash because (insert same old tired bullshit argument here)", then you need to school them w/ some statistics and a dose of 2008. Seriously, why would you ever want to replicate that experience sans Flash?
To me, that is like saying: "we need to drive from City A, to City B, but we can't use a car, we HAVE to use a minivan. Just because".
If there is a valid reason for this—please state.

"The one you get using Flash..."
I meant do you want simple stuff, similar to the fading on qbn or the movement on http://wearebuild.com? Or straight up animation of characters and type style?

Is there an alternative to Flash to build a dynamic site?
Any example?
Thanks!
