  Why does it matter one whit to you if some people believe they are going to heaven? Furthermore, how do you *know* they are not going to heaven? Finally, if religious tv bothers you (it bothers me too—most of those people are money-grubbing charlatans with stupid toupees), then change the bloody channel. It doesn't seem like you are laughing as much as angry that these people believe in something that doesn't make sense to you.

  ephix: Christians can't wait to get to heaven because it's perfection that we can't even fathom here on earth. However, I'm not in a hurry to get there because I have a reason, a purpose for being here. I'm especially looking forward to watching my son grow up, which can't be done from heaven...but I do get occasional glimpses of perfection, tiny slivers mind you, but it's enough to make anyone long for eternity.
