They're fun, I guess. My parents just started it because they didn't want us to feel left out. We never stopped. My siblings and I used to put on Christmas concerts and plays (our own creations) for our parents each year (beside the tree) when we were younger. That's about I know about Christmas trees...

Good memories... My dad is a forester. Growing up we would always go up to the mountain behind our house and cut one down as a family (you do need a permit). It's not the religious nuance but more of the feeling of the season and the smell of the tree... That being said, I have not had a tree since I moved out at 18.
