Has anyone downloaded the album artwork from iTunes?
When I did it, not all of the artwork was downloaded- even for albums that I had correctly imported from CDs - in other words, the name of all the songs and the name of the album should have been correct on iTunes...
My question, is there a way to manually placing the album covers on iTunes? or is there any tricks to get that done? I also just got a new iPod and it is so cool to see the covers there. Thanks,

i think that u can just drag the album art into the lower left album art displayer in itunes. I only say this because it says "Drag album artwork here"...but dont take my word for it.

right click >> Get Info >> click 2nd tab >> (copy the image you want to the clipboard) >> right click on the square box on the right hand side >> paste

If ya don't have an account, you can do it manually by selecting the song(s) and ctrl clicking them to go to 'get info' and then you just add a jpg of the cover if you have it on your computer.
You can also use Fetch art which is a small plug in that 'downloads' all the covers for every single song you have on itunes http://www.macupdate.com/info.ph…
It sometimes downloads the wrong cover, but as a whole it can save you some time instead of going manually.

Hahah to be honest. I've been going through a terrible time with the new iTunes and adding new cover work for ones that Apple doesn't recognize.
Normally I never cared, but I do like the cover flip on my phone ... :X
If you want to give each MP3 in an album the cover you need to select all of the songs in iTunes, then Get Info ... that way you can apply changes across the board.
- Otherwise, I think you can just give the album cover to the first track in a compilation.flavorful

I had to manually find album covers for every single song I had (I have lots). This means exactly what was said above. You have to go to Amazon.com or Google Images, find the album cover image (after you first confirm you have the right album name), right-click on the song in iTunes to find the album artwork area, and then drag-and-drop. Took me a few hours one day, but it's cool now.
- And yes, I tried all those album image finder tools and free programs for Mac, and they didn't do it properly.Jaline
- Actually ... Wikipedia is a really good resource for album covers I've been finding.flavorful
- Plus you don't have deal with the extra stuff from Amazon and can filter through discographies rather quickly.flavorful

get info on complete albums/ multiple tracks, drag image from web browser.
essential applescript:
embed artwork... so that when you share mp3 the artwork travels with the files and is not left behind in your itunes artwork folder:
http://dougscripts.com/itunes/sc…and if you're lazy:
search sloth radio for artwork
http://dougscripts.com/itunes/sc…and/or find art with google

sorry i shoulda clarified the get artwork script is to embed the artwork that itunes finds for itself (via cmd get artwork)... these otherwise just get saved to the itunes artwork folder.
artwork that you find and drop into the info window gets embedded as you go, you'll notice the file sizes increase when you drop in the art.
