I made a 8 page document in separate Ill files. combine files into a pdf doc and print in house.Would it be best to transfer this all to inDesign? In case others need to edit it? It seems like a long process to move to inDesign seems like I have to redo whole thing. Any advice is appreciated.

hmm, not sure they could edit it though... sorry

One page stuff is fine with illy but multipage and I bring it into indesign.
You could save as .eps' drop one onto each page and include the eps in a folder which can then be edited but this seems needlessly complicated.

Small text edits can be done on the pdf in Acrobat. But if you are talking major layout changes, then I'd send the illy files.
Or better still, place the illy files into the indesign file and package it so they have everything.

Just drop the AI files into InDesign. Edits made to AI files and updated in InDesign. Done.

Definitely just migrate it to InDesign. It'll take some time to set it up again but once you set your paragraph and character styles edits will be WAY faster and easier and collation is also quicker for you.
Like stem says; Illy for logos. InDesign for most everything else. I never understood why Illy doesn't do clipping paths the way that ID does boxes for photos....- I dunno if i want to do this only cuz im not so good with inDesign and I want to learn more web stuff so ill credant

Redant, I'd advise against editing the PDF — it can turn pear shaped real quick. You can get yourself into a real version-control nightmare if you do a couple quickie edits to the PDF but then go back to the AI file later on and forget that you made PDF edits, etc, etc.
Text changes to a PDF are a last-minute, emergency measure only.

If you know what you are doing in illustrator, a few hours with indesign, you should have the basics.

Totally agreed, stem.
If you can use illy and/or have used quark in the past then Indesign will make total sense. Text and Image boxes work slightly differently in InDesign — better in my opinion — but that's really it. They've become very similar in the last few versions.
If you're going to do more work with this doc and/or the client and/or multi-page print work in general, get to grips with Indesign. It's easy.

I just haven't been using InDesign much and people around here do marketing stuff in Publisher. Everything is just printed on the color printer and they are ok with this.

They call it Creative Suite because you're supposed to use them together. Like everyone is saying, place the Illustrator images (separate files) into the pages in InDesign, it'll make life much easier.

just link your adobe illustrator files into indesign then you will be able to easily export pdf files and others can edit the illy files and resave if it needs to be updated.
