I don't care if it's "cool" or not.
I've had nothing to do with trying to look "cool" since I was about 12.

moth, whats your passion with this thread then?
- kelpie0
actually folks, moth really doesn't smoke. I do remember him smugly proclaiming to have quit his 2 a day habit very easily, the last time one of us 20 a day types decided to quit though ;)
(I agree with him on a number of his points, btw)

Good luck, kelpie.
(I constantly see smokers on the bus, coughing like they are about to die! It worries me. (it also sounds disgusting). It's a dead giveaway. Another thing...smokers have a tendency to try to mask the smell with bottles of cologne and chewing gum. You can't hide it! I'm a bit biased, as I have asthma, but I did have friends who smoked before and it's just a gross habit, in general.)

It's more like 2-4 a weekend, if at all.

thing is; smoking IS cool, it just needs to be done the right way. Its like wearing black and shades well, it'll never really be anything but cool, no matter how many people claim the opposite. That's why kids still start every day, despite the lack of advertising.

its like bourbon and casual torture in that respect.

moth only smokes mine.
cheap cunt.

It doesn't fucking matter Skypoo. 1 a day, 20, or none at all.
My personal habit has nothing to do with my point.

Plus the fact, in the history of QBN, and also way before your time, I can not get away with calling myself a smoker. So I didn't.
- kelpie0
yeah quite right, we don't tolerate part timers on this board

Well, I've cut down from 60 a day to about 20, so I tell people I'm practically a non smoker now.
I have no idea where I found the time to smoke 60 a day.
- you know you smoke to much when you buy your fags in bulk from the cash'n'carry, like me.Jnr_Madison

How do you deal when you get out from the office at 11pm, pissed off like a hyena, or when the letting agency makes clear that they're a bunch of morons and can't do anything but screwing things up.
Between Killing people and smoking a cig i'd go with the latter.

ok so I'm a week in and its been really easy for the most part.
One significant situation where its been fucking super hard and getting harder by the day is in work. I've never been a non smoker and done this and its completely changed the dynamic of how I work. To explain, for a start this stuff does not come easy to me; every job I do is a full on struggle, I get 'blank page syndrome' with practically every job (and more often the longer I do this) and its always a bit of a stressful race against the clock just trying to get something down onto the page that I can start working on to get something out. I've always used those 5 minute ciggie breaks to help clear my head and get a perspective on something so that when I go back in I've a better idea of what I'm going to do. especially useful for the frequent times I become completely stuck on a project and have absolutely no clue hat to do next. Now though, I don't have that part of my work routine there any more and I am mired in my current pitch job, which I have done nothing at all on in 2 days and am now about 5 minutes away from late on and I can't find a way of replacing that and reseting my head to try to work something out. I've tried getting up and going outside for a walk, I've tried chewing gum etc etc.
I wouldn't give a fuck cos I'm loving life as a non smoker already but married to having serious doubts and crisis of confidence about my work anyway this is making things doubly hard.
arg. rant over.
- basically I have 100% total mental block and would really really like to scrounge a ciggie off my pal here.kelpie

go for a pint instead.
- kelpie0
I do both anyway, so I'm dropping the easiest one
