One of my mates just bought a minted Mrk 2 Ford Fiesta XR2
E registration (UK) so, early 1980s
Back when we all passed our driving tests, we all had XR2's in my group of friends. So its a wee trip down nostalgia lane for him.
His wife has the kiddy-carrier and she'd given him carte-blanche to get whatever he wanted as his car - for work etc.
So he got the XR2 on ebay.
Cost him £2500
Its absolutely mint condition, the only wear is a small patch on drivers seat and it even has the original ford stereo and wiring - so its obvious this car has never been owned by a boyracer.Looking forward to seeing this car, and having a shot too ; trip down memory lane.
I used to have a silver one that I sold after I finished art college and moved through to glasgow for my first job. Thats about 8+ years now, and I sold my F reg one for £1600.
WISH id held onto it and kept it in my folks garage as a wee investment as my one back then was minted too.
Once upon a time these cars were one of the most popular hot hatches but you rarely see them - esp mint these days, they'll all be rotting in scrap yards because of boyracers writing them off lol.
