  I have watched the last few Khan fights and felt a bit cheated. In the last few fights, the ref has jumped in and stopped it, even though the opponent was (although getting hit) still on his feet and not in any great danger.

  Also, up until the weekend not sure about the quality of the opponent.

  And I am very skeptical about the whole Frank Warren thing, it has all seemed a bit of a fix until this weekend, when I think we have seen the real Amir Khan.

  The trouble is, us brits will get behind anyone who is winning and get carried away with all the hype, without questioning the quality of the opponents etc.

  It could be the best thing that happens to Khan careerwise becuase it will remind him that foolish pride will get him nowhere and hard work is the only way to win. Otherwise he'd just end up with a massive ego like others before him. This sets him back at a crucial point in his career, but if he's smart enough he will come back and be in a better position for it.

  I think he will really struggle to come back, I mean he was fucking battered he had no idea what was going on after the first knock down let alone the second poor wee guy, but you just need to look at the guy he was up against jeesus his arms were way thicker and his punches were much much faster and harder, a worthy opponent indeed, good to see that at least the fight could be appreciated as the opponent was worth it, boxing was always a joke for me as all the fights you saw were completely fixed in terms of the opponent being some tramp they have cleaned up and put in some shorts.

  i went the gomez fight in birmingham. If gomez got a decent hit in he would have knocked khan out, but khan got lucky and was too quick in the end for ageing gomez
