Hello All, We have created a project to raise money for the national autistic society and the idea is to get artists to donate art work for a book which will be sold online, with all proceeds going to the National Autistic Society
We are looking for Artwork submissions, donations toward printing and sponsership. if this interests you please do click the link below.

You're well-meaning, rybo - but ultimately quite clueless.
There's no structure to your proposition. There's no legitimacy in your actions - no apparent tie-in to a real organisation or proof of capability or intent. There's no quality in the product you're offering - beyond charity, there's no pull for the people you're trying to attract.
The world is full of causes - everyone vying for recognition and cash for one reason or another. Look at what you've got there - what attempts have you made to actually ORGANISE an effective project beyond hoiking up a website?
Don't get me wrong - I kind of admire your tenacity, but you appear to view things the wrong way around - from the dream backwards, rather than the small steps needed to make something actually happen.
Vespa did something *kind of* along the lines of what you're attempting a few years back, and made full use of the contacts and potential here to realise her ambitions. I have no idea whether it made much money - but it, very quickly, became real and substantial. It had merit.
The 'Show some old work' thread has made me remember just how un-competent (as opposed to in-) I was, not that many years ago - but the difference between you now and me then, is that I knew my limits and tried to ensure I learned off people better than I. So I stayed schtumm, kept my head down and worked hard. Perhaps I'm wrong, and one day you'll be a world-renowned donkey-dicked gazillionaire... but perhaps not.
All I'm trying to say here is - small steps and organisation. A concept and a web page do not a project make.

harsh but some good points.
you need to show people that you've thought about how much the book will cost to print and distribute, and if you have deadlines it means you've at least thought about it. What shops can you get it into? What press can you get? What is the point of the book, education? Get some recognised Autism groups' support, find out from them how much money they would need to achieve a specific goal. If you can't raise money through this, is raising awareness a better goal? If yes then how can you taylor your brief for that outcome?
otherwise you're asking strangers to put in their precious time for a pipe dream...

OK i have a deadline for artwork now and always wanted the book to be released on the 1st of January 2009, We know all the figures and how many books we want to produce and so on we have been in constant contact with NAS (National Autistic Society) all the fine details are there.

http://www.designgive.com is an example of a project that was launched with the help of the PVN. it was properly thought out before any submissions were asked for.
not just a single page quickly thrown up followed by a plea for people to hand over their work.

All the best, man. That's a great idea.
Keep pushing and don't take any criticisms as negative … I think the guys here are trying to get you right before you start hammering away at it and things get out of control.I've been looking into doing something similar to help with the cost of my niece's IBI - they're astronomical.
