Anyone on QBN live in Tokyo? I'm trying to get a job there, though I've never been.

What are some of your favorite/least favorite things about the city?

    I like the food.
    I don't like the workhours.
    Hope that helps.

    Tokyo is over rated.

Plenty of nicer places to go in japan!

Tokyo is just TOO big, I mean its basically a heap of cities that have eaten each other up..it is the quintessential definition of a rat race lol.

Also don't count on getting a good job without some impressive japanese skills unless you plan to work for a company that works/speaks in english.

The easiest job to get is as an english teacher, and generally the ones who arent in the big cities have the best time. People are also a lot nicer out in the "real" part of japan :)

Don't try Kyoto, the locals generally hate foreigners haha

    Good luck ^^

    • even if you did that (english teacher) they will only let you live there for so longakoni1/2
Yeah japan doesnt like foreigners staying haha. Only way in is to get a corporate sponsored visa or marry someone :)tOki2/2

What's the work hours there out of interest?

I've been there on holiday 3 times and am also considering working there maybe possibly.

    • Depends on the company. It's not that likely you'd be working for a Japanese one - but even if you would, you'ld be cut at least a little slack. Since, you know, you're a stinky ravaging barbarian just like me.PeterH1/2

Best most of them are just untalented.
Ya Tokyo is just another metro city but lot better, and many more hot cities in Jpn.
LOL it Is like going back in time when i come home from jpn.
I think the nice to us but they must laugh at us with their technology and lifestyle.
