I was in Milan this summer and a lot of the members of the local design community that I spoke with said that Milan was living too much off of its prior success in the past... And that its not a place where design was particularly evolving or opening new doors. What cities besides the saturated New York and San Francisco are doing interesting work? Portland, Philadephia, Chicago, maybe Boulder... What are the ones that we're not hearing as much about and are still affordable?
