Been on both for awhile, there are certain things I like about Mac, and I gave them a chance, but I can't help but feel crippled on a Mac. PC is where it's at in my opinion, and I speak form experience.
Not to hate on anyone in here, but it seems the people who are the biggest Mac fans are the ones who don't really understand computers that well. I think there is something to be said about the Mac for ease of use....they seem ideal for some people. And I will fully admit they look cool and the displays are also really good. I still don't think it justifies the inflated price though.

I have been using a PC since forever as well and recently made the transition to Mac in the workplace. While both have their pros and cons I can honestly say my productivity and workflow is much more efficient on a Mac. This is mostly due to the wonderful feature called expose - it makes panning between windows outrageously simple and awesome. There are a few quirks to OSX however... finder isn't as powerful IMO as Explorer and there are a large amount of features that are 'automated' for you - but most of these things can be customized.
I think you will find the transition mostly painless though. OSX is certainly not a bad piece of software - hell, it might even make a believe out of you.

i made the transition from PC to mac about 5 years ago and doubt i'll ever buy another pc again. the latest OS is awesome.
the one button mouse is kind of annoying when i have to use other people's computers, but i strictly use a wacom on mine...i don't even have a mouse plugged in.
