I have the latest Powerbook that I bought half a month before the first Intel Macs were released (yeah! I know!!)...
So, my question is: How would Leopard run on it?
Some say it will disable certain functions on an older Mac, others say it runs smoothly.
Any experiences, please?

It will be fine, but it's not totally worth it.

No, I don't really want it. But I bought a very handy little piece of software earlier this year and it stopped working. Manufacturer said update is possible but only for Leopard from now on. Which made me angry since i PAID for the software in Feb. this year. Crazy, no?

im running leopard on my 15' powerbook g4 1.57ghz and it runs smooth. when leopard first came out there were some MAJOR issues with airport, but after a few updates it was solved.
no problems here.

janne! i'm running leopard on an iBook PowerPC G4 1.33Ghz with 1.5Mb RAM and it runs really well. i actually think it runs a tiny bit faster than the previous ox did.
i'm trying to sell the computer above btw.

Yeah, I thought it ran a bit faster, or at least felt more responsive too — and it still does. Mind, I did it as a clean install rather than an upgrade-on-top of Tiger.
Great for everything and can have pretty much the CS3 running at the same time (well, PS, AI, ID and Bridge) as well as mail, etc.

If you've got some spare cash, put in a higher RPM drive too. That'll make a big difference.
