Here's the deal. sunday I'm going to be using this camera for a photoshoot. Never used it before and will only have it for a couple of hours.
I'm shooting people outside and it will be probably sunny. Is there a setting (aperture mode, ISO, wtv) that can help me get the perfect shot?

On the D60, if the screen is blank, pressing the “i” button brings up the settings menu and pressing it again accesses the quick menu. Once inside the menu, the multi selector pad provides navigation through the menu options. Settings on this menu include image quality, WB, ISO, release mode, focus mode, AF-area mode, metering pattern, exposure and flash compensation, and active D-lighting.
- I have the d60 and wish i could just stay in the quick menu.ninjasavant

I tend to find that the auto mode will do pretty well in most situations but will use the aperture mode if I'm trying to do something specific.

Don't know what kind of shoot you are doing but if it's of people (and it's sunny) I would suggest using some fill flash or shooting in the shade. Otherwise your shots will have some nasty contrast and your subjects will be squinting. If you must shoot in the sun, have the sun behind your subjects and expose for the shadow area on their face, you might get a nice rim/hair light around the edges. Oh, and use aperture priority with the lens wide open... again if it is people you are shooting. Good luck.
