"When it comes to climate science and the energy policies that result, the suite of candidates offers a position for everyone. Jill Stein would have a massive and expensive effort that would see the US become the world's leader in renewable energy. Clinton would take Obama's incremental steps and keep pushing them further, leaving us in much better shape but short of a comprehensive solution. Johnson might consider pushing the market along (or he might not), hoping that industry would get the hint and solve things for us. And Trump would pretend there's nothing to see, and we should all just move along to drilling more."
- US is far-far away to "become the world's leader in renewable energy" because it's not just about the leadership of the country and the decisions they make.sted
- how far and at what cost will we make renewable energy a thing. currently its hurting the lower and middle classes. billions spent have we even hit a benchmark?deathboy
- reminds me of the seo/digtial media buyign and metrics. spend money, you just have to spend money and it will work. see here a report i printed outdeathboy
- ignore what i left out of the report, and the well the algorthms and blah blah are a black box no one REALLY knows. its kind of just guessing. fb media metrics.deathboy
- What worries is when looking at Hillary's science division, it churns up pictures like this: http://i.imgur.com/s…omg
- Those kids could actually be the ones who turn urine into energy efficient fuel and create homemade wind turbines from detergent bottles.omg
- However it looks more educational for kids rather than turning over a whole new leaf in energy without oil and coal, in transportation and infrastructure.omg
- There is also a big issue in here. Says Jill wants to increase taxes on corporations. NOT TRUE. She wants to lower it from 35% to 15%. BUT raise taxes for rich.omg
- In order to stimulate business and job growth and tax the super wealthy.omg
- So personal gains for billionaires end up being 55%-60%. So instead of 100 billion, they'll have 45 billion. Still not bad, I think the 99% could agree.omg
- HRC support fracking abroad.instrmntl
- I'm hoping Santa gives me Solar Power this year.omg

Finally got around to watching the debate.
hmmmm... she lost that one. He really hit home all the negative points about her. And any negative facts about him just don't really hit home, because you already know all the bad stuff about him are true and its not even worth spending the time calling out.
When it got nasty in the last 30min, she took it and really came through.
Again, no one is changing their vote here.
I was concerned that there were some major issues regarding how they spend the countries money and our debt. And they didn't have anything, no plan and some really vague answers...
I think either way we're in for a rough 4-8 years.
- just after the debate, Hillary sadly claimed she wouldn't be able to take naps anymore once she becomes president.robotron3k
- and you said she is a woman and therefore can't be a leader in the first placemonospaced
- i have tremendous respect for women, more than anyone, but Hillary belongs in the kitchenRealDonaldTrump
- I was just paraphrasing her from her 3 minute post press conference.robotron3k
- A seasoned 30 year politician should have swept the floor of a citizen running for office the first time. But she came off looking as dumb as a stick.robotron3k
- It does look like people are second guessing their pity vote for her just a bit.robotron3k
- No, I don't think anyone is doing that. Be real, only the crazies are voting for trump. The rest like her or will vote for her because they have to.sofakingback

A different perspective. Not endorsing just wondering can anyone debunk this
- I "agree" with the tone and thinking. Debunking ... I know people in the Paris attack & doubt they'd lie. If anything they would just stage these attacks.mugwart
- Yeah that part is questionable...would recommend skipping to 8 minutes in where he talks about election.qoob
- All these feelings of lost hope is based how the current 2-party system works. The debunk can be made if a 3rd party candidate actually won.omg
- A 3rd party winning could prove people can overcome the system, the media, the conditioning, money and power that they've been brought into.omg

Donna Brazile email to Podesta
“I think people are more in despair about how things are - yes new jobs but they are low wage jobs... HOUSING is a huge issue. Most people pay half of what they make to rent,”
- All the high wage jobs are taken by Mexican and Somali immigrants!!!monospaced
- Tax issues that need to be fixed.omg
- it might be worth noting that Hillary's tax reform doesn't look like it's can fix this.omg
- It's akin to a clunky piece of software. The combination of abandoning this trickle-down effect and not slashing any tax on the wealthy. It's a bit ridiculous.omg
- nothing is more ridiculous than trickle down economics and the idea of cutting taxes on the wealthy, who already exploit insane loopholes and fuck the system.monospaced
- You want to somehow foster company growth. Trickle down theory will allow much more incentive for investment, else those offshore accounts will just stay there.omg
- Every company would see a 35% incentive to grow business. Companies would starting hiring right away, and start buying things.omg
- It's actually a double tax on the system. Either the company or employee should be taxed, not both.omg
