I had a pair of trainers sent over from HK last year... a freind swapped them for me as they were the wrong size. HM R&C tried to charge me £210.63 tax for them. Fuck'em, they sent them back to HK and a friedn bought them back in his luggage.

    Oh Dear.

Moth, you have to pay a year plus a year in advance, then the amount is adjusted up or down. I told you to get an accountant.

If you're in the shit now, then I'd get one, they know how to be nice to the HMR&C and work out a deal for you.

Typcial tory. All for taxation until it bites you on the arshlock.

I got rid of the advance payment bit.

There's no way on Gods green earth I'm paying them twice - but jesus - they went to great lengths to conceal from me how I go about reducing that payment.

    ACCOUNTANT.
THE COST OF AN ACCOUNTANT IS TAX DEDUCTIBLE AGAINST YOUR BUSINESS. THEREFORE THE INLAND REVENUE PAY FOR IT. GET ONE MOTH.

    • They won't cover it fully, only lower your taxable base, correct me if I'm wrongrafalski1/2
My accountancy fee is listed as a deduction on my tax return and comes off my taxable income. Of course.SkyPoo2/2

Had they not been trying to fuck me over I would have been able to budget that in.

Fact is - I've been on PAYE since November. Why would I willing pay them twice?

    It's madness.

    • At the very least go and talk to an IR officer. Top of Warren Street, big glass building on northwest corner.SkyPoo
