This Czech thingy was ridiculously popular in Poland last Winter, I even posted it here once http://www.qbn.com/topics/540852…
The Czech folks I met in Ireland never heard about it.
It was actually huge in Poland. The song was performed by tv celebrities, the original singer - formerly unknown there - got to play a major festival, toured the country, got a record deal and released a Poland-targeted CD with the re-recorded song (in Polish I think) and some more.
That's why even when you seek English lyrics there is usually a Polish middleman to them:
http://www.avantgardening.pl/blo…The interesting thing is there isn't really much of a connection between the two countries' cultures these days, this song's sudden popularity seeemed like some sort of compensation for the lack of contact to me.
