I recently transfered my entire hard drive from my PowerBook to my new iMac, everything works great except for all the Adobe CS 3 applications! All the Adobe CS applications are asking me "validated" every time I open the E.g. (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc...) in order to continue using CS3 Premium Suite and will expire in 5 days...
The funny thing is that I do not have the CS Premuin Suite I have the CS Standard Suite installed. Has anyone else run into this problems and figured out how to fix it?
Thanks.

There's a lot of system stuff going on. If you just did a 1 to 1 transfer of the applications folder then you messed it up. You need to do a clean install from the DVDs.

Did you release the registration from your old machine?
THat shit is dumb as fuck, but I had a similar problem. If you've already transferred/installed you gotta jump through a bunch of hoops.
But the license does allow for two installations... so as others have said just call/contact Adobe and they'll sort it out.
Provided of course that it is a legit copy

I HATE FUCKING ADOBE
• Their online updater DOES NOT work
• Their apps are POORLY executed and thoughout
• Their upgrades are a BIG PAIN in the ass and NEVER work right
• Their OUTSOURCED technical support blows monkey balls
• Their software is to fucking EXPENSIVE

if you have the discs, you can try running this:
http://www.adobe.com/support/con…and then reinstalling.
activation *should* go smoothly after that. But I make no guarantees.

Hey if your going to bitch this much trash the install discs (or give them to a student*) and go back to Quark.
Or better yet try using your hands when your not busy fapping to the anti-adobe brigade propaganda.
*Send the dvd's to OCAD, we're all broke over here.

i just have to say that adobe software 'aint expensive. shit, you should have tried buying software 8 or 10 years ago. massively expensive.
considering you can buy the master suite for 2.5k which covers you for all web, print and DV needs (almost all needs but short of FCP or similar it's pretty good) you have to be kidding about being expensive.
