Of course you can predict the sun rising, and all manner of things like that, because they are by nature "predictable".
"the end of the old reality as we know it to commence on December 21, 2012"......... is not. Furthermore, it could mean or relate to ANYTHING.

"It's not fucking cynicism. It's common fucking sense, which given your exam results, just proves my point."
Moth, how come you feel under attack even when you're not being attacked? I wasn't suggesting you were being cynical, I was taking the piss out of "the (too) open minded".
Have a Roffle.
Go on, have two.- Last time I had a Roffle I ended up Odious and Press to Start.killthefish

I don't feel under attack. I'm just being my usual heated self.
- Microwave or chese?killthefish
- Ok then. I feel a bit sensitive around you lately. As though you feel I'm heckling you.Koopsy
- I'm bored of these nonsense threads. There's more than 1 of them.********

With everyone and their dog owning a cell phone and transmiters being everywhere, we're kind of telepathic in a way.

Lately?
I've only met you today Koopsy.- hahaha, you're joking right?Jnr_Madison

I seriously hope we never become telepathic in the classic sense of the word - my mind is about the only private place I have where I am not subject to other people's misguided attempts to monitor and control me. Similarly I don't want to be inside anyone elses - we already have what we want telepathy to achieve - communication from one mind to another.. We have many unique ways of doing this, and I can think of no advantages that telepathy would bring..
Apart of course from situations such as those solved by Lassie involving well-based accidents and long runs through storms.

it's funny cuz its true and everyone thinks its bullshit. our brains are sense organs we already have a ton of psychic contents in them, many ideas and emotions and images are esssentially just this. dreams can be explained as such but psychology is a ways away from grasping what psychic sense is but its not as if they're not addressing it. people who meditate frequently get huge amounts of energy coming from their prefrontal lobe, its been shown through scans and stuff. its not really a matter of telling the future or reading minds but it can be apart of it...things like dejavu or sudden thoughts from nowhere, people having the same idea at the same time. The internet is like a physical manifestion of this basic concept, we're 'connecting' through a network, EVERYTHING has parallells in the cosmic world.
i don't simply believe this its evident to me and its known by MANY people in this world including members of QBN, more than you think.

I had you on ignore in times past KwesiJ.
Bet you didn't know that.

Which again - proves my point.
- killthefish0
It doesn't really proves the point. There's no way to actually disprove telepasensoridejavoodoo, just like there's no way to disprove god. gOD, excuse me. My clapslock slipped. Somebody can say they have ESPeas, but it's easy enough to claim it doesn't work for certain constipiations. "Oh, I didn't able to detect online epathies!" or, "I have to be meditating in my dreams for it to works..."

you can't prove i'm a human
- KwesiJ0
i don't understand why 'people' who know whats going on don't just say it...why is that? you're all out there i know
- why is it moth?KwesiJ

I know what's on.

So if there are these 'huge amounts of energy' in meditators prefrontal cortexes, then it really can't be THAT huge - neurons are very delicate organs that require a very narrow operating temperature. pH, salinity, etc, an organic environment simply cannot sustain 'huge amounts' of thermal, chemical or electromagnetic energy with damaging the neural substrate, so I'm pressing the bullshit button on that one..
Telepathy, deja va, or esp cannot be a form of organic radio then, in that one person is transmitting (using the 'huge' energy stores they create), and another receiving, as there is nowhere on the electromagnetic spectrum that is suitable , and I'll defer to the blog of Paul Smith at this point:
"Nature gives us four forces to work with, we can dismiss the nuclear forces as they only apply at the atomic level, we can also dismiss gravity, which correlates with mass as our brain isn't that massive, and even if it were, there would be no way to reasonably alter the mass to be able to send data. That leaves us with the electro-magnetic force, specifically the EM spectrum.Due to the size of our heads, one can rule out the longer radio wavelengths, to be realistic we'd have to start somewhere near the microwave area of the spectrum, once we get to the infra-red it becomes hard for us to control the signal without our body heat getting in the way, by the time we reach visible, it gets worse, can you imagine how bright a light you'd need to shine through your skull? You'd have to spend all day eating to stand a hope in hell of generating so much energy, by the time we're at these frequencies the brain would simply cook itself, touching your head would be like touching a 1000 watt light bulb, then of course if it were visible, we'd be able to see it with our eyes, I don't remember the last time I saw somebody with a glowing head.
So if we were to communicate using the EM spectrum, it would probably be around microwave wavelengths, this is the same frequencies that mobile phones, and 802.11 devices use.
As our brain does have an electrical current, it also generates an electro-magnetic field, however this is a by-product of the electrons whizzing around in our heads, and cannot encode any information. Also it is extremely weak, and we need sensors on the skull itself to stand much hope of even measuring it. So I believe we can rule this out going forward.
OK, so let's say we use microwaves, what we'd need is some form of transmitter in our brains, which can vary the microwave signal so we can encode our thoughts along with it. Also the psychics would need a receiver in their heads.
So yes Milly, it is possible. You don't have to break the laws of nature to do it.
However. From an evolutionary prospective it would be an expensive system to develop, the energy required to send out a constant stream of thoughts would drastically increase the amount of energy our brain uses. We also have ways to communicate which cost very little, we can send information through sound waves by banging things, or by changing the pitch of sounds using our vocal system.
Of course, these alone don't rule it out they just make it less likely to develop.
We could be generous and grant psychics the use of an undiscovered force, which costs very little energy and doesn't require much in the way of transmitters or receivers.
However still, they fall flat on their faces. We've been doing experiments with psychics for over a hundred years now, and nothing, nothing at all, negative, no effect."
- you're forgetting the basic concept is ultimate interconnectivity not energy conductionKwesiJ

mabe it will be like what woman think that movie with mel gibson

I think, mabe we will just be able to send a message via mind and a person receives it like messenger if the accept and you can block certain minds and people from communicating to you? and if you don't like the message you can delete it and block and unblock... who knows.
