Is there a way in indesign cs3 to create a style that has a custom border. For example in Wired they have a bunch of slashes at the bottom of their pull quotes.

Can this be done automatically or do I need to do it manually?

I think we are talking about setting a Paragraph Rule under paragraph styles.

I'm still in CS and have only have like 14 styles for these rules and can't be exactly custom made. Don't know about CS3, it might allow you use an external graphic as the rule.

I think that you can choose, in your paragraph rules option, slanted dash type, make them something like 14 pts for the weight, and choose a different gap color. but i'm not sure if its this that you want...

    • let me know...lajj

Set up a Paragraph Style with a right-tab positioned at a distance that would be at the far right of your column width. Set a Leader Character, in the Wired example, it would be a grey slash or whatever. This should work, but since I’m kickin’ it at home and don’t have InDesign at hand, let me know.
